Approach

As a therapist, I provide a safe space where you can finally let down the mask you might wear throughout the day, a place where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgement, and be met with genuine care. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults in individual therapy, while also partnering with parents and caregivers to develop practical, effective strategies adapted to your family’s unique needs and supportive of your child’s growth. In our work together, you won’t have to navigate things alone as I support you in making the shift from simply surviving to truly thriving in your life. My background in exercise and sport science, along with experience in emergency healthcare, allows me to understand the deep connection between mind and body. Our health is a complex, interconnected system, so we will look at the whole picture of your mental and physical wellbeing to ensure that important pieces aren’t overlooked.

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and individually tailored to your unique needs, goals, and access to resources. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities as part of an eclectic framework, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. Our sessions will blend conversation with more creative and experiential elements such as playing games, making art, listening to music, or even going for a walk outside to help you connect, process, and grow in ways that feel natural and engaging. Through this shared space, you will be empowered to overcome challenges, build meaningful skills, and celebrate your successes.

More about Kate

I am deeply passionate about this work because I genuinely believe people are doing the best they can with the tools they have, and that “our best” can look very different from one day to the next. I feel honored to walk alongside people as they work through challenges, whether that is improving self-esteem, managing stress, or developing practical coping skills for navigating school, relationships, and life transitions. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of someone’s support system as they build resilience and move toward life satisfaction and overall well-being. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, friends, and cat, Salem. I also enjoy slowing down and being present through meaningful hobbies like cooking, hiking, reading, and painting.
