Jennifer Muñoz, Ph.D.

Dr. Muñoz (she/her/hers) is a Clinical Child Psychologist, specializing in evidence-based treatments to support children and their families in meeting their goals and improving overall quality of life. She specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and their families who are presenting with a wide range of behavioral, mental health, and emotional concerns. In addition to therapy, she has extensive training and experience in psychological evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with a wide range of concerns.

Dr. Muñoz’s approach to treatment is family-centered with the goal of helping meet goals and maximize outcomes. She is sensitive to family dynamics and culture and is adept at working together with parents to provide effective, flexible treatment. Treatment may take an individual or parent-based approach depending on the concerns. When treatment is individual, the level of parental involvement will be tailored to the treatment goals. Dr. Muñoz has extensive experience working with children presenting with disruptive behaviors, ADHD, a wide array of presenting anxiety symptoms, and obsessive and compulsive symptoms. She is also experienced in providing treatment to children presenting with complex medical needs who are also experiencing behavioral and emotional concerns. She is passionate about empowering parents and children and adolescents in their lives.

Psychological evaluations are tailored to meet the child’s needs in order to help guide next steps and support the child in the academic setting as well as the home setting. Dr. Muñoz has a strong desire for the evaluation and recommendations to be useful and manageable for the family. Time is spent meeting with the parents to determine their goals for the psychological evaluation to determine the evaluation plan. Psychological evaluations may provide a framework to guide a child’s future.

Dr. Muñoz enjoys spending time with her family and children. She enjoys traveling, being outside, cooking, and is an avid reader, photographer, and animal lover.
